According to court documents obtained by DailyMail.com, Angelina is the biggest loser in this skirmish.
The Girl, Interrupted star alleged that Judge John W. Ouderkirk failed to disclose, “ongoing business and professional relationships,” that he had with her ex Brad Pitt‘s legal team. Oh and by the way, the judge also is the one who married these two A-listers in 2014—that’s not a conflict of interest?
The couple split in 2016. At that time they had logged 12 years together, two in wedded bliss. They have six children together: Maddox, 19, Pax, 16, Zahara, 15, Shiloh, 14, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 12.
Angelina Jolie Loses Bid To Swap Out Judge Who Married Her And Brad Pitt From Divorce Case
According to the mother of six, it was not fair for Ouderkirk to judge her and Pitt regarding their lengthy preside over the ongoing four-year divorce battle.
The Superior Court of California in Orange County has disagreed, however. In court documents filed Monday, the court ruled that Ouderkirk stays put.
A source close to the former It couple told DailyMail.com, “This was the judge who was originally brought in by Angie’s team. He married them, for heaven’s sake.”
They went on to throw some shade at Angelina saying, “It’s a prime example of someone who tried to get the referee removed late in the game because they weren’t going to like the outcome.”
Would Angelina Really Try To Sway The Judicial Process In Her Favor?
Monday’s court ruling stated that Ouderkirk had indeed made the necessary disclosures regarding his court cases with Pitt’s legal team.
Adding insult to injury perhaps, they noted that Angelina Jolie was aware of Ouderkirk’s appointment and former dealings starting in 2018 and could have brought the issue up back then. But she didn’t and the court judged her recent legal bid, “untimely.”
Bratt Pitt Says Angelina Jolie’s To Stall Their Court Case Will Be Hurt Their Children The Most
Back in August Pitt’s legal team accused Jolie of deliberately attempting to delay the court proceedings in their heated years-long divorce battle, after she filed a motion to have Ouderkirk removed.
Jolie counterpunched with her lawyer saying that all she wanted was a “fair trial,” with “no special favors,” for herself or Pitt.
