Vivienne Jolie-Pitt – Serves As Usher At Reunion Concert For ‘Reefer Madness: The Musical’
The 16-year-old daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt was seen helping people find their seats at the ‘Reefer Madness: The Musical’ reunion concert on Tuesday, July 30. She was also seen chatting with some of the other employees during the show.
The report was published by PEOPLE, as the magazine had writers on hand at the event which was held at The Whitley in Hollywood, California.
The evening was filled with songs and stories from the original cast members who first starred in the musical 25 years ago.
The original casts include Kristen Bell, Christian Campbell, Harry S. Murphy, John Kassir, Lori Alan, Stacy Sibley, Larry Poindexter, Samantha Harris, Aukai Cain, Elijah Myles Breckel and Paul Nygro.
The musical originally opened in Los Angeles in 1998 as a satire of the 1936 cult classic propaganda film of the same name. Kevin Murphy and Dan Studney collaborated on the film’s score and book.
Previously, Vivienne had accompanied her mother, Angelina, to attend the opening night of the musical in support of one of its producers, Kristen Bell.
Bell was touched by the act of kindness, and thanked the “Eternals” star, 49, on her “lovely gesture” of support.
“She just said she wanted to come out and support,” she said. “Which I thought was a lovely gesture, particularly for a project that is launching in Los Angeles where it’s not the biggest theater community, or it maybe has a different identity than a New York community.”
Vivienne’s love for the theater has grown over the years, with the star seeing a performance of The Outsiders at La Jolla Playhouse in San Diego in 2023. She then went on to convince her mother to produce the musical adaptation of S.E. Hinton’s novel and Francis Ford Coppola’s 1983 film.
Vivienne’s name also made it in the credits as a volunteer assistant on the production. This year, it received the award for the best musical at the Tony Awards.
“Viv reminds me of my mother in that she isn’t focused on being the center of attention but in being a support to other creatives,” Angelina previously said in a statement of her daughter’s attachment to the theater. “She’s very thoughtful and serious about theatre and working hard to best understand how to contribute.”
