Anne Heche’s Son Struggles To Get More Control Over His Late Mother’s Estate And Financial Assets

The ongoing legal battle between Anne Heche’s elder son Homer Laffoon and her ex husband is heating up, with Laffoon demanding more control over his mother’s financial assets.

The 20-year-old believes that he should have more say over the late actress’ assets. This is coming after Homer accused James Tupper of faking his mom’s signature on a secret will in order to claim her impressive estate.

Homer also alleged that Tupper is restricting his contact and communication with his 13-year-old half brother Atlas Heche Tupper, following Anne’s death in August.

On Thursday, per a report published by PEOPLE, Homer Laffoon’s attorney filed documents in the Superior Court of California in Los Angeles County requesting “the Court to expand the authority” and allow Homer to “take possession of property and other assets of [Heche’s] Estate.”

The filing by Laffoon’s attorney Bryan L. Phipps stated that Laffoon needs to be granted authority to remove all of Heche’s items from her condo, which was only paid through October, “to avoid addition fees and costs and, ultimately, potential loss.”

The filing further noted that Heche had several checks addressed to her which she is yet to deposit and Homer wants to do so before they become “voided”.

Homer also asked for extended authority that will allow him to protect his late mother’s property “from damage, waste, and injury,” and receive any claims and rents that would come to her. He could also “manage, perform, and enforce the rights and interests of [Heche] and the Estate regarding the publication agreement and forthcoming book by [Heche].”

In addition to these, Laffoon is also asking for a bond of $800,000 and access to his mother’s financial records.
