Armie Hammer’s now estranged wife Elizabeth Chambers allegedly found evidence that the actor was having an affair with one of his co-stars.
According to Vanity Fair , a source close to Chambers revealed that the 34-year-old actor allegedly first confessed to being unfaithful shortly after the birth of their 4-year-old son, Ford, in 2017. But that he claimed it was a one-time offense.
The Text That Ended The 10-year Marriage Between Hammer And Chambers
The source added, that years later, Chambers found evidence that Hammer was having an affair with a co-star after the Call Me By Your Name star allegedly sent a raunchy text meant for someone else to Elizabeth. She filed for divorce soon after in July 2020 ending their decade long marriage.
After their split the couple shared on Instragram,” “Thirteen years as best friends, soulmates, partners and then parents. It has been an incredible journey, but together, we’ve decided to turn the page and move on from our marriage. As we enter into this next chapter, our children and relationship as co-parents and dear friends will remain our priority.”

Their marriage Had Been On The Rocks For A While, Chambers Has Continued To Stay Strong For Her Children
The publication reported that Chambers and Hammer’s marriage – which had already been tested by the latter’s infidelity – reached a breaking point when Hammer decided to go back to the U.S. amid the coronavirus pandemic leaving his family who had been quarantining in the Cayman Islands behind.
Speaking of the divorce and how Elizabeth is faring, a source said,”Armie’s indiscretions and choice to quarantine away from Elizabeth and their children lead her to file for divorce after trying to make their marriage work for years. She has been blindsided about the allegations that have come out about Armie, but is now in a place where she realizes this is part of the process, Elizabeth is keeping her head up, protecting her kids, focusing on her family and making sure that they are all OK.”
Armie Hammer’s Social Media Scandal And The Backlash He Has Faced Since
Hammer who spoke to GQ in September 2020 about the “intense experience” of quarantining with his family, has been caught in a social media scandal since January of this year after private messages that appeared to be written by him went viral. In these DMs, which have not been confirmed to be from the actor, sexual graphic fantasies were described, some making references to cannibalism and rape.

Multiple women including his ex, model Paige Lorenze later alleged that he was abusive during what began as consensual BDSM relationships. An attorney for Hammer denied the allegations in a statement to the outlet.
After breaking out with his role in 2010’s The Social Network, and then earning a Golden Globe nomination for his role in celebrated indie film Call Me By Your Name, Hammer has been dropped by his agency WME on the back of the allegations and has stepped back from his starring role in The Offer, about the making of The Godfather as well as from Jennifer Lopez rom-com Shotgun Wedding.

In February, Chambers commented on the allegations against her ex-husband,writing on Instagram, “For weeks, I’ve been trying to process everything that has transpired. I am shocked, heartbroken, and devastated. Heartbreak aside, I am listening, and will continue to listen and educate myself on these delicate matters. I didn’t realize how much I didn’t know. I support any victim of assault or abuse and urge anyone who has experienced this pain to seek the help she or he needs to heal.”
A source also added,””She is sickened by the various women’s claims. Her first priority, as always, are their children and trying to protect them from this news and make sure that they feel safe and secure. She does not want them to be traumatized by everything going on.”
