Barbra Streisand’s Nose Job Confession

Barbra Streisand has been a household name for decades.  As long as the Hollywood actress and singer has been around, so have rumors about her nose. 

Over the years the tabloids have had a field day with Barbra Streisand’s prominent facial feature, and she has been the butt of jakes and parodies for as long as she can remember.

At this point, Barbra Streisand seems to have just accepted the fact that her nose is almost as famous as she is.  In a recent interview the actress tried to set the record straight on all of the surgery rumors that have followed her for decades.

Since the 1980’s Barbra Streisand and her nose have been a topic of debate.  Some fans believe that the actress’ nose was botched before she was famous by a plastic surgeon and couldn’t be repaired. 

Other Streisand followers are convinced that she actually paid someone to make her nose look like that so she could stand out from the sea of pretty faces.

Barbra Streisand has made hundreds of millions of dollars over the years.  It makes no sense that the actress simply opted not to get a nose job once her checks began rolling in.  But, that’s actually exactly what happened.

In a recent interview with People Magazine, Barbra explained that over the years multiple people tried to pressure her to get a nose job but she refused.  The 81 year old actress stuck to her guns, and was scared that a nose job could change her singing voice.

Streisand stated, “It was too much of a risk. And who knew what it might do to my voice? Once a doctor told me I had a deviated septum … maybe that’s why I sound the way I do,” she writes.

“Besides, I liked long noses … the Italian actress Silvana Mangano had one, and everyone seemed to think she was beautiful.”
