Bella Hadid, 26, just shared that she suffered for 15 years with Lyme disease. And the model expressed gratitude to her mother, Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills (RHOBH) alum Yolanda Hadid, for supporting her. However, Bella also offered a health update.
Find out what the model revealed about her battle with Lyme disease and other illnesses. And learn how she regained her health. Get all the details below.
Bella Hadid – Shares 15 Years Of Suffering
Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills (RHOBH) alum Yolanda Hadid’s daughter Bella Hadid suffered for 15 years with Lyme disease, the model shared on Instagram.
And the 26-year-old described herself as “finally healthy.” But that return to health came only after “100+ days of Lyme, chronic disease, [co-infection] treatment [and] almost 15 years of invisible suffering,” Bella added via People.
And as the RHOBH alum’s daughter looked back, she shared, “The little me that suffered would be so proud of grown me for not giving up on myself.”
Bella also shared her appreciation for her mother Yolanda. The RHOBH alum received a diagnosis of Lyme disease in 2021. And Yolanda’s son Anwar also learned he suffered from Lyme disease at the same time.
“Thankful to my mommy for keeping all of my medical records, sticking by me, never leaving my side, protecting, supporting,” gushed Bella.
“But most of all, believing me through all of this.” And the model shared that it all took “a toll on me in ways I can’t really explain. To be that sad and sick with the most blessings/privilege/opportunity/love around me was quite possibly the most confusing thing ever.”
Bella Hadid – Doesn’t Want To Change Her Past
However, Yolanda’s daughter noted that she doesn’t regret what happened over the past 15 years. And Bella revealed two goals in her post.
First, she wanted to share that she feels “okay and you do not have to worry.” And second, the model noted that she “wouldn’t change anything for the world. If I had to go through all of this again, to get here, to this exact moment I’m in right now, with all of you, finally healthy, I would do it all again.”
However, Bella clarified that she did suffer some “painful” times during her recovery. “But I need to say that if you are struggling, it will get better. I promise,” added the model.
“I have so much gratitude for and perspective on life, this 100+ days of Lyme, chronic disease, [co-infection] treatment, almost 15 years of invisible suffering, was all worth it if I’m able to, God willing, have a lifetime of spreading love from a full cup, and being able to truly be myself, For the first time ever.”
