Beyoncé’s seventh studio album “Renaissance” is here and there’s plenty to make fans thrilled. The last time we got a solo record from Beyoncé was in 2016 with her hit studio album “Lemonade”.
All We Know So Far Of Beyoncé’s “Renaissance”
Beyoncé is 40, glowing and growing stronger. The beyhive is buzzing and the Queen is determined to serve us sweet music, until we’re full, which is impossible because we can never get enough.
Alongside her smash single “Break My Soul”, which was dubbed the great resignation anthem because of its lyrics addressing the state of mental breakdown resulting from being overworked, the dance-heavy LP features 15 other tracks.
The tracks include: “I’m That Girl,” “Cozy,” “Alien Superstar,” “Cuff It,” “Energy” featuring BEAM, “Church Girl,” “Plastic Off the Sofa,” “Virgo’s Groove,” “Move” featuring Grace Jones and Tems, “Heated,” “Thique,” “All Up in Your Mind,” “America Has a Problem,” “Pure/Honey” and “Summer Renaissance.”
While her last album “Lemonade” was based on her personal moments, “Renaissance” was made for dance floors, with lyrics celebrating identity.
However, the track “Heated” is rumored to have been based on her alleged troubled relationship with husband Jay-Z, as she sings “If you keep playing with my heart, boy / I’m just as petty as you are.”
Ahead of the album’s release, Beyoncé shared that the LP will be a “three-act” project.
She wrote: “This three-act project was recorded over three years during the pandemic. A time to be still, but also a time I found to be the most creative. Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world.”
While Beyoncé has continued to release songs and collaborative projects since “Lemonade”, “Renaissance” truly marks the release of her solo album in six years.
Beyoncé – Says Her Latest Album is Free Of “Perfectionism And Overthinking”
Beyoncé has been singing and releasing music since she was a kid. Growing up, she first rose to fame as part of the popular girl group Destiny Girls, which included Michelle Williams. As a solo artist, she has remained on top of her game, releasing smash singles after smash singles and collecting 28 Grammy awards.

“Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world. It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time when little else was moving,” the “Sorry” musician wrote on Instagram, showing off her risque cover art for the album. “My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment. A place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking.”
She continued, “A place to scream, release, feel freedom. It was a beautiful journey of exploration. I hope you find joy in this music. I hope it inspires you to release the wiggle. Ha! And to feel as unique, strong, and sexy as you are.”
