Lively and Reynolds have done it again. In the past, we’ve seen the couple match up to $1 million in donations that were sent to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees after Russia invaded Ukraine.

They also put another $500,000 towards providing safe drinking water through Water First Education & Training Inc, an indigenous-focused safe water charity. At the start of the pandemic, the couple split $1 million between Feeding America and Food Banks Canada.

More recently, the couple supported the striking SAG-AFTRA union with $1 million, as a means to support the low income members of the union who haven’t been able to earn since the strike started. Happily, the WGA strike has been resolved, even though the SAG-AFTRA is still a work in progress.

So I’m sure with all these things they’ve done previously, fans are far from being surprised that the couple are providing enormous aid to the afflicted in Gaza and Israel right now.

While they’re the first celebrities to openly offer financial aid to Gaza, organizations have been lending support since the dreadful attack toon place on Oct. 7.

Leading them is the ICRC, which sent a truck of medical supplies to a hospital in Gaza, including body bags and stretchers.

At the same time, the organization assessed the damage to sewage and water treatments, alongside helping to locate the people held hostage in order to establish contact with their families and medically treat them.

Several celebrities have used their platform to voice their support to the victims of the war, including Kylie Jenner, Justin Bieber, Yara Shahidi, Jennifer Garner, Kerry Washington, Adam Sandler and others.
