Blake Shelton Describes Taking Gwen Stefani to a Memorable Place

Blake Shelton Describes Taking Gwen Stefani to a Memorable PlaceBlake Shelton and Gwen Stefani may not have been the couple fans saw coming, but nearly a decade after their love story began, they’re proving that sometimes the most unexpected pairings make the strongest matches.

What started as a friendship on The Voice in 2014 quietly grew into something much deeper. Both artists were navigating difficult divorces—Shelton from Miranda Lambert and Stefani from Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale. That shared experience brought them closer backstage, eventually turning into a romance that culminated in a 2021 wedding.

Now, with nearly four years of marriage under their belt, Blake and Gwen are still finding ways to make memories as a family—and their latest adventure might be the most heartwarming yet.

A Low-Key Getaway, A High-Impact Memory

In true down-to-earth fashion, Shelton decided to mark their upcoming anniversary not with glitz and glam, but with something far more meaningful: time away with family.

The couple packed up with Stefani’s sons—Zuma, 16, and Apollo, 11—and headed to the scenic Ozarks in Missouri, where they stayed at the picturesque Big Cedar Lodge in Branson.

Gwen gave fans a glimpse into the trip via Instagram, posting a montage of sweet family moments set to her duet with Blake, “Purple Irises.” In her caption, she wrote, “such an unforgettable time at @bigcedarlodge the flowers, the food, the family memories. thank u for making it all so special gx.”

The video captured everything from peaceful sunsets to cave explorations and delicious meals. A personalized menu welcomed the family by name, even featuring a cherished photo from Blake and Gwen’s wedding.

Also included was Gwen’s eldest son, Kingston, 18, making the getaway a touching tribute to their blended life together.

Fans flooded the comments with heartfelt reactions:

“omg this is so beautiful!!!♥️ love seeing u guys make these memories”

“I’m so happy for you guys ❤️”

“I’m open for adoption. I can clean, cook and don’t eat a lot.”

“Thank you for sharing such precious memories with us. We love you all.”

“I think the slower pace of life and nature has made me love Gwen even more. I think she found what she had always been looking for in life with Blake and the country life.”

Still Going Strong

Despite years in the public eye and ongoing speculation about their relationship, Blake and Gwen seem unfazed by the noise. Last year, Blake gushed about his wife in an interview with Access Hollywood, calling her his “best friend.”

“We have fun with it — maybe that’s the key. We have so much fun together. Whether we’re having a cup of coffee in the morning, watching a movie, or performing in an arena somewhere,” he shared.

That simple approach to love—choosing laughter, music, and quiet moments—might just be their secret sauce.

Their trip to the Ozarks wasn’t about grand gestures; it was about real, tangible time spent together. For Gwen and Blake, paradise isn’t always palm trees and private islands. Sometimes, it’s a cozy lodge, three boys, a guitar, and the wide-open air of the Missouri countryside.

And maybe that’s what makes them work.
