Since their 2021 wedding, the music power couple has continued to be fan favorites, defying the constant rumors and speculation that tend to follow high-profile romances.

Yet, despite all the joy they’ve found in each other, Shelton recently shared the one thing he wishes he could change about their story — and it’s not what you might think.

Not Just A Power Couple, But Partners In Everything

Their relationship has always had a unique foundation. When Blake and Gwen met on The Voice, both were healing from public breakups — she from Gavin Rossdale, and he from Miranda Lambert. Rather than hiding their scars, they found common ground in their pain.

That connection laid the groundwork for something deeper, something that would grow beyond the stage lights.

Fast forward a few years, and the duo now splits time between a Los Angeles mansion and a peaceful Oklahoma ranch. It’s here, away from the cameras, that their bond has truly flourished.

Shelton, who has taken on the role of stepfather to Stefani’s three sons, has embraced a more grounded, family-first lifestyle.

But even in their domestic bliss, Blake admits there’s one lingering “what if” that tugs at him from time to time.

“We literally just have so much fun together, and the only regret that we have is that we didn’t find each other until late in life, you know?” Shelton said during an April 2024 interview. “But [we] also know that we had to go through everything we went through to get us to there. But we’re just grateful, and we have fun.”

Finding Joy In The Smallest Moments

When Shelton describes their life together, it’s not the sold-out concerts or red-carpet appearances he highlights. It’s the quiet, everyday routines that mean the most — the kind that can only come from being completely at ease with someone.

“She’s my best friend; that’s the best way I know to say it, and it’s not something that we have to really think about — it’s just there,” he said. “And we have fun with it — maybe that’s the key. We have so much fun together. Whether we’re having a cup of coffee in the morning, watching a movie, or performing in an arena somewhere.”

That simplicity is at the heart of what makes their relationship so relatable, even as it plays out on a much bigger stage.

Life After The Voice: Trading Spotlights for Soil

Since stepping away from The Voice in 2023, Shelton has shifted his energy toward life on the couple’s Oklahoma ranch. It’s a quieter chapter, but no less meaningful.

Gwen, reflecting on this transition, told Extra,

“I think he just got to a point where he just wants time in his ranch, like time to just do the other things that he loves to do. I’m excited for him because we have lives outside of work, and it’s a really good life. We have Oklahoma, which is something I never knew I needed and wanted. We planted a garden, we do all kinds of fun stuff. So we’re looking forward to doing some of that family stuff together. It’s gonna be great.”

From pumpkin picking to fishing dates, their life on the ranch has become a symbol of the life they’ve cultivated together — full of intention, peace, and genuine fun.
