Was Brad Pitt Drunk?
If you’ve been watching the back and forth, you’ll recall Angelina has claimed that Brad injured her and verbally abused their children aboard a 2016 flight. According to a newly released FBI report obtained by CNN, there are details coming to light concerning the incident.
The report, though heavily redacted, that Jolie told agents that, while traveling back to California with Pitt and their six children, the Interview with a Vampire star had been drinking when he took her to the back of the plane following a tense exchange with one of their children.
The report, in which Pitt’s name was redacted, refers to the actor numerous times. At the rear of the plane, Jolie explained, they were in a restroom, beyond the view of their children, when Pitt allegedly “grabbed her by the head,” as well as by the shoulders and shook her, pushing her into the wall and yelling various things, including “You’re f—king up this family,” the report says.
Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie – Who Filed The Report?
According to E-News, the report was first viewed by NBC in March of this year. According to the outlet, a recently sealed Freedom of Information Act lawsuit filed anonymously, against the FBI, listed the petitioner as a “Jane Doe.”
The filing described the plaintiff as a woman and explained that “her then-husband, and their children, who were all minors at the time, were traveling via private aircraft,” and that during the flight her “husband allegedly physically and verbally assaulted plaintiff and the children, who have ‘experienced lasting physical and mental trauma as a result of the assault.'”
The report was originally shared with both parties in 2017 and in it, the Tomb Raider star said that her then-husband, with whom she shares their six children Maddox, 21, Pax, 18, Zahara, 17, Shiloh, 16, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 14, accused her of “ruining” their family during the incident.
Brad Pitt – Opens Up
Both Pitt and Jolie are remaining quiet thus far, however, a source close to Pitt said of the documents, “All parties have had this information for nearly six years and was used in previous legal proceedings. There is nothing new here and serves no purpose other than being a media stunt meant to inflict pain.”
In a 2017 interview with GQ Magazine, Pitt said that he had quit drinking, adding that he had been “boozing” too much in that past year. Later, in a June 2022 interview with the British version of the outlet, Pitt spoke of finding more peace in recent years.
“I always felt very alone in my life,” he said, “alone growing up as a kid, alone even out here, and it’s really not till recently that I have had a greater embrace of my friends and family.”
