Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have a date with a judge in Los Angeles in November to go over the particulars of how much time their kids spend with each parent for the holidays, according to an insider who dished to Us Weekly.
The source spilled that, “The holiday visitation had been set before the custody trial. Brad Pitt will see the children on Christmas Day. He is hoping that he will be given increased custodial time with the kids which would result in having them overnight for the holidays this year. The decision will be made by the judge in November.”
Both parents have filed witness lists for their court date including psychologists, a therapist, security consultants, and Angelina’s Girl, Interrupted costar Jillian Armenante.
How are Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt doing with co-parenting?
Angelina filed for divorce in September 2016 and they have been battling it out in court ever since. The former costars have not been able to come to a mutually agreeable permanent custody agreement for their five minor children: Pax, 16, Zahara, 15, Shiloh, 14, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 12. Their eldest, child Maddox, is 19.
According to the chatty source, “Brad wants 50/50 joint physical and legal custody of the kids. Angelina has been unagreeable to those terms. [She] will only agree to talk about an agreement if the home base for the children isn’t Los Angeles. The younger kids are in school in Los Angeles, which Angelina has always been opposed to. They are very smart and are eager to attend school in person [amid the COVID-19 pandemic].”
Angelina Jolie does not want to raise her children in the US
The insider told the publication that the parents are simply not on the same parenting page and that tension between them over time has “escalated” not decreased and that they are no longer participating in family therapy.
In September another source told the outlet that Jolie’s mission is to, “protect the kids and the health of the family. In the end, she is going to do what’s best for the children as she has done all along.”
Pitt is reportedly now seeing his kids again after a trip to France in August. He traveled with his new girlfriend, married mother of one, Nicole Poturalski.
According to the source, “Angelina insisted Brad quarantine for 14 days after he returned from France, citing a rise in COVID-19 cases in the country. She didn’t want to chance the kids getting it.”
