Brad Pitt Legal Battle Reportedly Causes Angelina Jolie Internal Turmoil

Things between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie may have come to a screeching halt in 2016, but the former couple continue to battle it out in the courtroom, from custody arrangements to their joint French winery Chateau Miraval.

However, despite their years of continuance, these court battles are yet to become bearable to Jolie and, according to a source, they still stress her out. And in a year that’s seen her return to acting in a big way, it’s especially taken a toll on her mentally.

Insider Claims Legal Battle With Brad Pitt Is Testing Her Patience

Pitt, 60, and Jolie, 49, are currently locked in a legal dispute over the latter’s sale of her stake in their French winery to Russian oligarch Yuri Shefler.

The ongoing court battle is said to be making Jolie so edgy she’s started taking out her anger on staff. “She’s always been a fiery, formidable character, and all this stuff with Brad has tested her patience,” an insider speaking to RadarOnline claimed.

The insider added: “The household staff is walking around on eggshells. She’s not afraid to chew people out and tell them they’re messing up. You don’t want to be around her on one of her late nights when she’s blown a fuse.”

Angelina Jolie Reveals Acting In ‘Maria’ Helped Her Confront Certain Trauma

One of the ways the ‘Maleficent’ actress de-stressed amid the ongoing legal battle was by playing the iconic Opera singer Maria Callas onscreen and working to embody her voice, passion, and spirit in the Pablo Larráin-directed biopic.

“I had to take a deep breath and let it all out, and in between that, I also had to let out my real voice… which I also didn’t really have, because it’s where I carried my private pain, my gentleness, and a lot of things that I felt I didn’t own, that I didn’t feel safe letting out, it also involved owning something that I didn’t want to deal with,” she shared, adding, “There’s something that happens in these beautiful pieces of music that you can’t sing unless you can access a certain part of yourself.”
Jolie loved her return to acting in ‘Maria’ so much she told Deadline she wouldn’t mind doing more action movies.
