But before Brad Pitt became THE Brad Pitt, he was just like many up-and-coming movie stars who show up in a movie and have absolutely no lines. But in the true Brad Pitt fashion, one of his earliest breakout movies – where he had to kiss and not tell – saw him frolicking in the hay with Geena Davis.
Hey, it’s not a total loss. I mean, rolling on hay with Geena Davis, hello?
Brad Pitt Shares Early Performances On His Cover Interview With W Magazine
Before Brad Pitt made it big, he was already sealing his lover boy image. On a W Magazine Best Performances interview published on Monday, the 59-year-old award winning actor remembered that the first ever love scene he did for a movie was during his very brief stint on the 11th season of “Dallas”.
“I had to roll around in the hay in a barn,” Pitt said of the scene which he featured in in the 1980s. “I don’t think I had a line. I was just rolling and frolicking.”

This also led him to remember a famous love scene in his 1991 movie “Thelma and Louise”, famously considered as one of the movies that helped launch Pitt into the big league.
“Geena [Davis] was so sweet and kind and delicate,” Pitt recalled of shooting the steamy scene, in which his character J.D. sleeps with Davis’ Thelma. “That love scene, I think, went on for two days of shooting. She took care of me.”
At another time, Brad Pitt remembered thinking that he was made for the movie so much so that he auditioned for “Thelma and Louise” three times before landing the role.
“I just thought, I’m the guy for this,” Pitt said in the cover interview, when asked if he saw Thelma and Louise’s long-lasting impact coming. “But they went through a couple of other actors. I didn’t get the part at first, and then it came back around and I didn’t get it again, and I went, ‘Huh. All right. Moving on.’ “

“And then it came back around again,” he added. “I feel like it was three times.”
