Brendan Fraser – Reveals He Has A Role In Martin Scorsese’s Upcoming Film “Killers of the Flower Moon”
It’s been more than a month since Fraser scored the biggest win of his career when he was announced the Best Actor for his performance in “The Whale,” and while the actor isn’t looking forward to slowing down, he does want to make sure that his next roles are something he connects with.
Chatting with Hannah Storm at the Greenwich International Film Festival’s inaugural Inspiration Talk and award ceremony in Stamford, Conn. Thursday, he revealed that he hasn’t yet set up plans for a follow-up after the spectacular success of “The Whales.”
“I read the trades the other day. Apparently, I’m going to have to pick up a picket sign,” the actor joked to the broadcast journalist in reference to the Writers Guild of America strike enacted on Tuesday, when asked what his plans for future movies were. “It might be a long summer.”

“At the moment, I don’t have anything — I’m really being picky right now,” he said, adding that he, however, won’t be gone too long from our screens because he has a role in Martin Scorsese’s upcoming movie “Killers of the Flower Moon.” The crime drama is set to receive a world premiere at the 76th Cannes Film Festival this month.
Brendan Fraser – Says He’s Excited To See the Premiere Of His New Movie
Praising the stars on the Martin Scorsese movie, and of course, Scorsese himself, “The Mummy” star shared his excitement to finally see the movie when it premieres, saying, “I will tell you that I’m excited to see it myself.”
“We were working in a really hot weather in Oklahoma, and I can’t oversell my participation in this film because it’s epic,” Fraser said. “There’s so many actors in this movie when you see it. I’ll arrive for a scene or two at the end.”

When asked what it was like working with the legendary director Scorsese, he happily replied that “it’s like my fantasies fulfilled at what it’s like to be in a Renaissance master’s studio.”
“Think about that. Somebody who has all the knowledge, hands down and surrounded by people who are so talented and enthusiastic for his vision,” the actor explained, adding that due to the unique way the director filmed the movie, “the work that we did was kind of being in an opera or a play because it was happening in real time.”
