Britney Spears’ Hubby Files For Divorce
After 14 months of marriage, Sam Asghari filed for divorce from his wife Britney Spears. The divorce filing came after Asghari, 29, and Spears, 41, separated. And it’s the end of a marriage that lasted only 14 months, reported People.
The now-estranged couple met in 2016 on the set of the pop princess “Slumber Party“ music video set.
And they happily tied the knot in June 2022. But by February, sources revealed that Britney’s inner circle had become “concerned.”

And rumors swirled that the singer and her hubby experienced marriage problems. However, Asghari’s rep, Brandon Cohen from BAC Talent, denied the reports. And Cohen explained away pics showing them without their wedding bands by saying his client had begun filming a movie.
Sam Asghari Supported Britney For Years
And in November, Asghari revealed that he received a role in the Taylor Sheridan-created TV show, Lioness. However, prior to their marriage, Asghari focused on supporting Britney. And that included during her mental health treatment in 2019. The pop star entered a facility for “all-encompassing wellness treatment” in April 2019.
And Asghari even worked to give Spears support amid her father’s health scare. But at the time, a Spears family insider described Sam as “great for Britney.” And praising his very positive influence on her, the source gushed, “He is very motivated to stay healthy and fit. And they often work out together.”

And another insider described Asghari as serving as Britney’s “rock.” Amid her conservatorship battle, Spears shared, “I’m not happy. I can’t sleep. I’m depressed. I cry every day.” But Sam, who donned a #FreeBritney T-shirt, sought to save her.

And the source shared, “Sam has been Britney’s rock for years. He makes sure that she eats well and works out. She leans on him for everything. He works and has his own life too,” added the insider. But Asghari stayed “around as much as he” could.
As a result, Britney loses more than her husband after Sam filed for divorce. The pop star has lost what TMZ describes as her “strongest supporter.” And because Spears has become estranged from her mother, father, and siblings, she stands alone. Insiders shared that Britney lacks friendships.
And with her children moved to Hawaii, Britney also lost touch with them. She hasn’t even talked to her kids in some time. As one insider summed up, “She has one confidant, [her manager] Cade [Hudson]. Then there’s her security team, and after that her support system falls off a cliff.” And that’s left her family feeling concerned.
