Britney Spears Is ‘Taking Her Time’ To Release Duet With Elton John, Here’s Why

Britney Spears Is ‘Taking Her Time’ To Release Duet With Elton John, Here's WhyGuys, come on, this is obviously going to be a legendary, epic, history making kind of song, Britney Spears and Sir Elton John, OMG, every time I remember that this duo is cooking up something more spectacular than the original version of Tiny Dancer, uhhhhh, I always can’t wait to hear it! I bet I’m not the only one excited about this combo. Anyways, the song is scheduled to be out any moment this month, so…

Britney Spears — About Her Duet With Elton John

I know we were promised that the song between the “Oops! I Did It Again” singer Britney Spears, 40, and the legendary “Sacrifice” singer Sir Elton John, 75, would be released this month, August 2022, the month isn’t over yet. But then, a source close to Britney revealed exclusively to HollywoodLife that Britney hasn’t released the song yet because she’s doing her best to make it perfect.

The source revealed that Britney is very much aware that the whole world is waiting to know what this her next song would be like after going almost 6 years hiatus, that Britney wants the song to not just be anyhow but to drop with a thud so that people would marvel and it wouldn’t be short of their expectations.

The source also said that Britney is very happy that her opinions are been sought after while making the song, something that wasn’t possible during her conservatorship, the source said “Britney has had a lot of creative control in the making of this song and that is something that she’s really enjoyed. When she was under her conservatorship, she really didn’t get this because she was not allowed to make decisions for herself. Doing this song with Elton has given her confidence again in her ability to sing and create music.”

Britney Spears — How The Duet Came To Be

So guys, remember that this duet came to be after Britney, her husband Sam Asghari, and Taron Egerton (the guy that played the role of Elton John in the movie Rocketman) had a hangie together last month. The single will be produced by Andrew Watt. So, it’s been almost six years since Britney released any new song, even after her 13-year conservatorship battle was over, Britney didn’t go back straight into singing.

Although Britney had done a video clip of herself singing her 1998 award winning song “Baby One More Time” in a different way, it wasn’t exactly an official comeback into singing. In that video Britney explained to fans that she is very much aware of how long it’s been since they heard her sing, she explained that she had always wanted to do that song in a different way but since she was still under conservatorship it wasn’t done to her taste, they made a total mess of it.

A different source had previously told HollywoodLife that Sir Elton John had always wanted to do a song with Britney, Sir Elton has been observing Britney from afar and understands what Britney is going through because Sir Elton has experienced firsthand what it feels to comeback to music after staying away from it for a long time. The source also revealed that while Britney was at the studio recording, she was a bit rusty “but it came back to her naturally and Elton helped to bring out her best and it is possibly the best she has ever sounded.”
