Britney Spears Reconnects with Her Sons in Private Call – Sparks Hope For Healing!

It may seem as though the “Oops! I Did It Again” singer Britney Spears has fixed the issue she has with her sons Sean Preston, 18, and 17-year-old Jayden James who she shares with ex Kevin Federline. On Mother’s Day, in May, Britney reached out to her sons via phone call and it appears that the phone call brought her one step closer to patching things up with them for good.

According to Kevin’s attorney Mark Vincent, “A reconciliation/reunification is complex and can take time. The phone call was a good sign but it’s a process that takes more to accomplish. The good thing is, the boys saw their mum was doing well and have a desire to speak with her.”

In case you’re wondering what the issue she had with her kids is, let me start by sharing that Britney and Kevin married in 2004. Two years later, just two months after the birth of Jayden, Britney applied for divorce on grounds of “irreconcilable differences.” After that, Britney and Kevin had a custody battle.

They were both awarded joint custody of the children. Few months later Britney shaved off her hair and was diagnosed with substance abuse, in 2008 Kevin was awarded full custody of the children and when Britney returned, she was placed on conservatorship.

In her book “The Woman In Me,” Britney penned down how she developed “Perinatal Depression” and how her separation from her children didn’t help her depression: “With my head shaved, everyone was scared of me, even my mom.

Flailing those weeks without my children, I lost it, over and over again. I didn’t even really know how to take care of myself.’” She also wrote somewhere in her book, “Starting a family was my dream come true, being a mom was my dream come true.”

Two years ago, in 2022, Britney’s youngest son Jayden, said in an interview with Daphne Barak, that he believes his relationship with his mom can be mended and this is not the type of reconciliation that has to do with “time will tell” speech, no, Jayden wants his mom to get better first before they can seat face to face and sort their issues, hopefully, once and for all.

Jayden said he “100% think this can be fixed. It’s just going to take a lot of time and effort. I just want her to get better mentally. When she gets better I really want to see her again.”

Then while addressing his mom personally, he said “I love you a lot, I hope for the best for you. Maybe one day we can sit down like this and talk again.”

This month, the 42-year-old shared a photo of her brother Bryan Spears hanging out with her grown-up sons with a caption that suggests that she and her children are now in a texting zone which is great progress.

The post read, “I sent it to my kids and I think they got jealous because they said ‘that’s a filter . . . that’s not real.”

A source shares that Bryan played a big role in the reconciliation process, “Bryan was instrumental in facilitating their reunion. He cares so much for Britney and his nephews.

She wanted to keep this quiet because she didn’t want to jeopardize their chances of reconciliation, but she’s actually back to being their mum again.”
