Britney Spears Reveals Her Family Punished Her For No Good Reason

When it comes to Britney Spears, ranting about her family has sort of become a new normal for her. I guess she’s finding it cathartic to name the different ways her family wronged her. The worst part of her experience, according to her, is that they remain dutifully unremorseful.

During her latest post, she described how she was forced to undergo treatment, so much so that she feared her father was trying to kill her.

On Monday, October 17, the “Toxic” singer, who was freed from a legal conservatorship lasting 13 years since the latter part of 2021, shared a series of posts lashing out at her father, Jamie Spears.

It was the first time that she truly went deep into describing her different hospitalizations at institutions for those suffering mentally.

“I believe in a world where we all deserve justice !!! 15 years in a system of secretive and manipulative abuse … JUST ENDING IT has never been good enough for me and it will never be !!! I was talked to abusively and punished for no reason at all,” Spears started the tweet that was followed up by five others that highlighted the time when she lost control over her personal and professional life.

“I believe I have absolutely nothing to prove on the whereabouts of what was done to me … it is all known !!! With that being said, people who have mistreated me on that kind of scale just ending the system is not good enough,” she continued, adding a voice note detailing a previously unheard story.

“One of the weirdest things” she encountered when she was under the care of her father was the time she was made to take three different MRIs before she was taken to “that place”. Spears didn’t give any time or place when this occurred, but she did stay in mental facilities in 2008 and 2019.

The star explained that she wasn’t complaining about any health problems at the time, and yet she was taken to the facility. She also found it unethical that she wasn’t told the reason she was going to the facility.

At the age of 8, Britney had a cyst on her chest that was removed. At the time she also had an MRI to determine that it wasn’t cancer.

“So whenever I hear ‘MRI’ I kind of was like, ‘that’s a big deal, something must be wrong with me,’” she recalled thinking. She also said that it lasted more than half an hour more than the time she was enveloped in an MRI machine.

“Which is a lot of being still,” she said of the diagnostic machine that usually requires patients to lie perfectly still inside the large device for extended period of time as it clicks and whirrs while scanning the area of interest. “The whole thing didn’t make sense — the isolation, the nurses, [unintelligible] … to me I was like, ‘Wait, is this a new kind of cancer treatment? [Is] that why they sent me away to this place? They didn’t want me to know?’” she thought at the time. “None of that it true, I’m fine, I’m alive.”

After a very public mental crisis, Britney was placed under the restrictive conservatorship in 2008 following two different stays at a psychiatric holding facility.
