Brooke Shields Reveals How A Surgeon Violated Her With “Bonus” Procedure

Brooke Shields has truly seen it all, including a cosmetic surgeon who would perform an intimate surgery on their patient without asking for consent. How did the ‘Mother of the Bride’ actress find herself in the situation?

Well, Shields, now 59, had told her gynecologist that she has endured “bleeding and chafing” over the years after the professional asked her whether she experienced discomfort over the size of her labia. She was much relieved when the “wonderful” doctor told her that a surgical reduction was possible.

“Of course, it’s not covered by insurance because it’s considered cosmetic, which is very interesting,” Shields told US Weekly for their cover interview. “The last time I did check, I did not want to be a porn star.”

But having to pay for the procedure was not her worst experience about the whole procedure, since she received an unwanted vaginal rejuvenation surgery as part of the package. This might have happened in her 40s, but she still hasn’t gotten over the “trauma” of the irreversible procedure.

Coming out of the surgery, the doctor “proudly” informed her “that he threw in a little bonus” in the way of a vaginal tightening. At the time, Shields was so “dumbfounded” she didn’t know how to react to it, especially with the doctor thinking he’d done her a favor.

She said: “It felt like such an invasion — such a bizarre, like, rape of some kind. Nothing pointed toward this need to be tighter or smaller or firmer or younger, especially there.”

Needless to say, she and her gynecologist were furious over the surgeon’s actions. In the aftermath, she battled feelings of “anger” and “shame” so bad, she couldn’t even get herself to tell her husband Chris Henchy.

The only reason the doctor got away scot-free was because she “didn’t want talk of my lady parts once again on the front page of every paper.”
