Bruce Willis’ daughter, Tallulah Willis, continues to be open about her personal struggles, using her platform to share vulnerable photos with fans. Recently, the youngest daughter of Bruce and Demi Moore took to social media and gave an update about her eating disorder recovery.
The Update With Pics
Tallulah Willis took to Instagram on the weekend and posted plenty of photos that included some taken in 2022, when she was getting treatment for severe anorexia. “I wanna talk about when I was balding because of my severe anorexia,” she began.
The actress and fashion designer explained that the older images were from her time at Driftwood Recovery in Austin, Texas. At the time, her condition was so advanced that she required “a wheelchair” due to muscle atrophy in her legs.
The Mental Health Side Of Eating Disorders

Tallulah wrote, “For a long time in my life I would have seen those patches of bare skin blurring through sparse hairs as a badge of honor. I was sick enough to make you look.’” She described her hair as “breakable and fragile,” needing multiple clips just to stay in place, However, most of them would slip off due to the lack of hair to grab onto.
Candidly, she didn’t try and polish it up. She said, “This truly isn’t a stage to show off how I nearly starved to death (publicly!), but I think the photos serve as a teaching tool.” Additionally, Tallulah said she cropped some of the images to keep the focus on healing rather than images that might trigger people..
The After Recovery Pics
The “after” photos, which were taken this spring, show a healthier and stronger version of Tallulah. She spoke about the simple joy of wearing her hair in a bun and how good it feels when it bounces while walking. Her caption read, “I didn’t value myself or my health but I am of the lucky who have made it to the other side. I made my disorder public and now it only feels right to make my recovery as well.”

As Bruce Willis battles frontotemporal dementia, his family has stayed united through a difficult time. Tallulah’s vulnerability seems to be another example of how the Willis family faces life with openness and strength. In a previous article, we reported on how close Tallulah is to her dad, especially since his diagnosis.
Now 30, Tallulah says she wants to “heal and hug and soothe every busy mind that’s out there still hurting.” Her message to others was simply, “Keep going I love u all.”
