Celine Dion Plans To Do A Live Performance Of Her Biggest Hits

Celine Dion is reportedly looking forward to giving one last performance in a TV special. The performance will see the star revisit her greatest hits, taking fans on a journey through her impressive catalog.

Celine Dion – Hasn’t Given Up Hope On Singing Professionally Again

Celine Dion recently opened up about her struggle with stiff person syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that was the reason she cancelled her tour dates last year and kept largely out of the public eye.

In the ‘I Am: Celie Dion’ documentary trailer, we saw the singer pushing herself and trying to recover from the disease, at least enough to return onstage, due to her desire to be with the people again.

According to sources, she’s been “working with voice coaches, band members and specialists for over six months. She believes she could release a concert film featuring her playing her biggest hits.”

Just as we saw Dion telling us she won’t stop working towards singing again in the trailer, a source speaking to The Sun’s Bizarre column confirmed that the ‘A New Day Has Come’ hitmaker has a burning desire to return to the stage.

“Celine is not giving up her desire to sing again. She has been working with voice coaches, band members and specialists for over six months now. She believes she could release a concert film featuring her playing her biggest hits.”

Speaking on whether she’ll ever be able to perform again, Dion said she’s not ready to provide an answer for that.

“I can’t answer that… because for four years I’ve been saying to myself that I’m not going back, that I’m ready, that I’m not ready. As things stand, I can’t stand here and say to you: ‘Yes, in four months.’ I don’t know… my body will tell me. On the other hand, I don’t just want to wait.”

She then revealed that she hasn’t technically beaten the disease since there’s no cure and it is still in her.

“I haven’t beat the disease, as it’s still within me and always will be,” she told France’s Vogue magazine, adding, “I hope that we’ll find a miracle, a way to cure it with scientific research, but for now I have to learn to live with it. So that’s me, now with Stiff Person Syndrome.”
