Celine Dion Reveals Real Reason She Wore A Coat At Grammy’s

Celine Dion is a class act, and has become a legend over the decades in the music industry.  Celine has also made a name for herself in the fashion world too, her award show gown closet is impressive to say the least.

It’s not surprising that Celine raised a few eyebrows when she stepped out on the 2024 Grammy’s stage wearing a long and over-sized winter coat.  Keep reading to find out the real reason behind Celine Dion’s now infamous coat moment.

The Iconic Valentino Coat

Celine Dion made a surprise appearance this year at the 2024 Grammy’s and took the stage to present Taylor Swift with the award for Album Of The Year.  Celine floated across the stage in a silk pink gown, and covered it with a brown Valentino Haute Couture coat.

Celine looked amazing, as always, but fans were perplexed about why she chose to wear a large coat over her dress.  Some viewers on social media were sure it had something to do with her recent diagnosis of Stiff Person Syndrome.

Celine Dion – Talks Grammy Coat

Celine sat down for an in-depth interview with Vogue France, and talk turned to her Valentino Grammy’s coat.  It’s no secret that Celine has had several health issues over the years.  But, Dion made it seem like the coat was more of an emotional comfort than a physical need.

The Titanic songstress explained to Vogue, “It was very nerve wracking and at the same time, a big honor.  I was like, ‘I can walk on stage with a coat?’ Oh yeah, you can do whatever you want in fashion. Just have a good time. Wear that coat. Own that coat. Go for it.”  Celine Dion added, “And it made me feel better for a moment.  To hold onto this coat, to hide myself a little bit from all these little things.”
