Passing of Chesapeake Shores star Treat Williams
It was Williams’ agent, Barry McPherson, who first confirmed his passing to People, describing the Chesapeake Shores “talented” actor as “the nicest guy,” adding:
He was an actor’s actor. Filmmakers loved him. He’s been the heart of Hollywood since the late 1970s.
The incident occurred when Williams was riding his motorcycle close to his Vermont home when he was struck by a car on Route 30, close to Dorset, Vermont. Reportedly investigators believe the driver of the car was turning and didn’t see the actor’s motorcycle before they collided.
Reportedly, Williams sustained “critical injuries” and was airlifted to a hospital in Albany New York. Regrettably, he was pronounced dead on arrival and police have confirmed that the investigation is ongoing.
