Chris Evans Turns Over Captain America’s Shield to Anthony Mackie

Chris Evans finally ended the speculations of him returning to Marvel to reprise his iconic role, Captain America.

Chris Evans has been in several successful movies, but he rose to fame when he portrayed the role of Steve Rogers, also known as Captain America, in a blockbuster hit movie, “The Avengers.” He also played the role of Hugh Ransom Drysdale in 2019’s “Knives Out” in which he was filled with memes on the internet because of the iconic knitted sweater he wore in one scene.

The 41-year-old actor recently starred in another animated movie that was adapted from “Toy Story” and was produced by Pixar and Walt Disney Pictures. He served as the voice of Buzz Lightyear, an astronaut who explores outer space with his robot companion. Evans will also portray the role of Lloyd Hansen, who will go against the character of Ryan Gosling, who will play Court Gentry in the movie “The Gray Man.”

Chris Evans Confirms the New Captain America

In one of his latest posts on Twitter, the “Cellular” actor finally confirmed the next star who will play his popular role as Captain America. The official Twitter account of The Hollywood Reporter posted about the Marvel hero and stated that it was still unclear if Evans will be back to play the character again. The tweet got a response from the 41-year-old star, saying: “Sam Wilson is Captain America.”

Fans got mixed reactions in the comment section, saying that Evans must remain as their favorite hero, and some supported his tweet and said that Anthony Mackie embodies the role of the iconic Marvel hero. One fan commented, “This is the sexiest thing you’ve ever tweeted.” Another one chimed in, “Ironically, it’s also the most “Captain America” thing he’s ever tweeted.”

Chris Evans Joins Emily Blunt in A New Netflix Movie

Following the success of “Lightyear,” Chris Evans will soon appear on the popular streaming service for his upcoming movie directed by the Russo Brothers. He recently wrapped up the movie “Ghosted,” in which he again costars the “Blade Runner 2049” actress, Ana De Armas.

In addition to his upcoming movies, Evans will soon join Emily Blunt for another Netflix movie titled “Pain Hustlers,” under Grey Matter Productions, headed by Lawrence Grey. The movie centers on a woman named Liza Drake (Blunt), who desires a better life for herself and her young daughter. She lands a job in a pharmaceutical startup, however, when her life starts to meet success, she finds herself involving in a criminal conspiracy.
