Chris Hemsworth Was Intimidated By This Star, Who Has Also Played A Superhero

If Hollywood A-lister Chris Hemsworth can be “intimidated” by Oscar winning actress Halle Berry, what then will little old me do if I suddenly find myself in a situation where I’m in the same room with her? It bears not thinking.

However, this is not about me or whatever reaction I would have if I do have a hypothetical meeting with Halle Berry, it’s about Hemsworth trying to control his nerves around Berry. He’s so lucky she’s a total sweetheart.

Chris Hemsworth Loved Every Minute of Working With Halle Berry

Chris Hemsworth has happily found his work soulmate buddy in the “Never Let Go” actress. A quick catch-up: Hemsworth and Berry both star in the upcoming movie ‘Crime 101,’ and during their joint appearance at CinemaCon 2025 in Las Vegas for Amazon MGM Studios’ presentation on April 2, he showered his co-star with boundless praises.

“I’ve admired Halle’s work for many, many years. I was obviously very intimidated to sit opposite her within a scene and try and, you know, not just be in awe of what she was doing,” Hemsworth told E! News during the event’s red carpet, which he attended alongside Berry, 58.

“Certain people just bring out not just the best in you, but also sort of a comfort level where it feels like it’s a place to explore and it’s a place to examine different ideas and try different things. And that was the experience [with Berry],” Hemsworth continued, adding, “I loved every second of it.”

Wow, I wish my co-workers can praise me like this. And considering that this praise is coming from a guy who has worked with the likes of Robert Downey Jr., Benedict Cumberbatch, Charlize Theron, Kristen Stewart and so on and so forth, it is high praise indeed.

Of course, Berry was touched by his words, because her reaction was priceless. She called the ‘Thor’ star “one of my new favorite people in the whole wide world.” Awww.

“[He’s] a stand-up guy,” she said. “I won’t go into it now but he stood up for me in a moment in our movie, and instantly I knew right then I’m gonna follow this guy, be a fan of this guy for the rest of his life because he stood up for a woman. He didn’t have to do it and he did it.”

Touched by her words, Hemsworth replied, “Back at ya.”
