Chrissy Metz Joins New TV Show “The Hunting Wives”

This Is Us fans are still distraught over NBC pulling the plug on the award winning series. 

But, they can catch fan fave Chrissy Metz on a new TV show, “The Hunting Wives,” but it’s nothing like her feel previous feel good role as Kate Pearson.  Keep reading for all the details!

Starz’ new drama “The Hunting Wives” is based on the book by May Cobb of the same name.   The series will follow a group of women in Texas, and be packed full of soapy drama.

Per an official report from TV Line, “The Hunting Wives tells the story of Sophie (played by Brittany Snow) and her family’s move from the East Coast to deep East Texas, where she succumbs to socialite Margo Bank’s (Åkerman) irresistible charms — and in turn finds her life consumed by obsession, seduction, and murrrrrderrrrr.”

Chrissy Metz – Gets A New Role

This Is Us star Chrissy Metz will be a series regular and playing the part of Starr.  Her character is described by Starz as “a proud working-class woman and staunch Christian.” 

Starr also has a daughter in high-school and is constantly butting heads with the super elite group of women known as The Hunting Wives.

It will definitely be exciting to see Metz tackle a new role.  Believe it or not, this is only her second gig after appearing on NBC This Is Us for several years. 

Chrissy received multiple award nominations and has been recognized for her stellar performance as Kate Pearson.  But, this character sounds much different.

The Hunting Wives On Starz

The Hunting Wives is currently under production in North Carolina, and Metz will be joined on set by some serious star power. 

The cast also includes Brittany Snow, Malin Åkerman, Dermot Mulroney, Katie Lowes (Scandal), Jamie Ray Newman (Eastwick) and Evan Jonigkeit.  So far there is no premiere date, we will be sure to pass that information along as soon as it is available.
