Christina Applegate Didn’t Think She Would Have Made An Exciting Housewife: “I Would Be the Worst”
No one judges Applegate more than she judges herself. On the latest episode MeSsy Podcast, the Emmy Winner shared that the reason she turned down “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” was because she didn’t think she had much to bring to the table.
“I was asked to be a Housewife for ‘Beverly Hills,’ ” Applegate, 52, told the podcast co-host Jamie-Lynn Sigler on Tuesday. “They asked me to be one probably … 10 years ago, I would say?”
She then revealed that she didn’t trust herself to bring as much drama as was required to the show.
“I wouldn’t have shown up for any dinners. I would’ve been in my sweatpants,” she jokes. “I would be laying in bed. What fun is that? None. I would be the worst Housewife anyway.”

She added: “I ended up becoming really good friends with the executive producer of [‘RHOBH’] because our kids went to school together.”
If you doubt Applegate’s ability to adequately judge herself, know that she applied to the producer of the show on his judgement as well.
After getting to know the producer more closely and spending time with him, she remembered asking, “‘Now that you know me, would I have been a fun Housewife?’”
His reply? “‘No, it would’ve been the most boring s – – t I’ve ever seen in my life.’” So there you have it, she was right all along.
Perhaps the reason Applegate didn’t think she would have made a fun housewife was because she is a fan of the ever-expanding franchise and the drama that so frequently envelopes that world.

In fact she’s such a big fan that when her “favorite housewife” Robyn Dixon was fired from “Real Housewives of Potomac,” she took to social media to share her disappointment and anger.
“What in the actual f – – k,” she recently wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “Why is Robin Dixon not coming back to Real Housewives of Potomac???? Noooooo!!!!! @Andy you need to explain this to me. She is my fave housewife of all the franchises! @Andy call me now! You don’t have my number but ya know. I love you.”
