‘Cruel’ Paparazzi Chased Britney Spears To Mexico

Britney Spears has joined a host of other celebrities fleeing the US in light of Donald Trump‘s presidential win, though for a completely different, and even surprising, reason. Apparently Britney Spears wants peace and to not look like a wrinkly old hag every other day.

Britney Spears surprised fans when she announced on Monday that she has officially moved to Mexico. The ‘Toxic’ singer said that she made the decision to get away from all the paparazzi who “hurt my feelings.”

Britney has had a negative view of the press and the music industry in general after breaking away from her 13-year conservatorship, and even though fans speculated at one point she would make a return to music, the pop princess has continued to insist that she will not be making music ever again.

“It really kind of hurts my feelings that the paparazzi make my face look like I’m wearing like a white Jason mask, and it doesn’t even look like me,” Spears said. “They’ve always been incredibly cruel to me, the paparazzi and pictures and the way they’ve illustrated me to be in some of it. I know I’m not perfect at all, by any means, but some of it is extremely mean and cruel, and that’s why I’ve moved to Mexico.”

On Tuesday, Dec. 3, the singer acknowledged her 43rd birthday by sharing a different video where she joked, “I’m turning five this year. I’m turning five years old, and I have to go to kindergarten tomorrow.”

According to a report by TMZ, Britney’s birthday on Monday coincided with the day her divorce from Sam Asghari was finalized, so I guess that’s another thing that’s filed under past tense for the ‘Oops!… I Did It Again’ hitmaker.

Britney’s two sons Jayden and Preston are currently living with their father Kevin Federline and wife in Hawaii, after they moved there a couple of years ago. While Britney’s physical relationship with her children isn’t great, sources say that she’s rekindling her bond with her sons via calls and messages.

Maybe they’ll love to spend a holiday in Mexico. I know I would.
