David Beckham Sues Actor Mark Wahlberg For Over $10 Million

For clarity purposes, David and Mark became friends after the footballer and his family relocated to Los Angeles in 2007. Mark joined the F45 in 2019 and went on to create his own workout routines ‘Wahlberg Week’ which are performance-based workouts that are carried out multiple times yearly and it’s exclusive to all F45 studios.

Anyway, Mark was able to convince David to become the brand ambassador for F45 in 2020 and by November of that year, the former Real Madrid player was onboard and took to his social media platforms including Instagram to promote the brand by sharing photos he took in the studio with the customized F45 gym as part of the deal (although these photos have since been deleted).

In one of the already deleted Instagram posts, the 48-year-old shared a photo of himself in standing in front a large “Functional 45 Training” logo and captioned the post “So good to be back with the @F45_training community.” The December 2, 2020 post also had a muscled hand emoji attached in the caption.

The following year August 2021, the Australian Brand F45 made it official that David is their company’s brand ambassador, “Welcome to the F45 fam @davidbeckham This is just the beginning of our journey together, we hope you’re all ready for what’s to come #F45 #F45Training.”

Now, the dad of four is currently suing the fitness guru Mark’s firm, Mark Wahlberg Investment Group (MWIG), and gym group F45’s founders Adam Gilchrist and Rob Deutsch. David’s firm DB Ventures Ltd alleged that the actor “duped” him into becoming F45’s ambassador and promoting the fitness brand.

According to DBVL, David was promised the company’s shares as part of the deal and that he was supposed to receive the said shares in 2022 but it was withheld from him until it’s price plummeted.

David’s legal team are claiming that as a result of the delay he lost over £8.5million in potential profit. “The U.S. Sun” reported that Mark and his co-defendants claim the allegations of “fraudulent conduct” are baseless and have asked a judge to dismiss the lawsuit.

In October 2022, David teamed up with golfing legend Greg Norman who also has a bone to pick with F45 but a judge requested that they sue separately.
