Denise Richards Says Charlie Sheen Felt Threatened By Her Friendship with Ex Patrick Muldoon

On the latest episode of Richards’ podcast, the former Real Housewife of Beverly Hills weaved the story of how Charlie Sheen reacted to her friendship with Patrick Muldoon and how her husband Aaron Phypers is feeling about it now.

Thanks to her kids Sami Sheen and Lola Sheen, Charlie Sheen continues to be a part of Richards’ life. However, during her time with him, he basically forbade her from speaking to any of her exes, more specifically Patrick Muldoon.

“I did not speak to Pat when I was married to Charlie,” she explained. “It was hard because I didn’t want to lose him a a ‘friend’ friend. But, towards the end of our marriage, I talked to him all the time about him.”

When they split in 2006, Richards continued her friendship with Muldoon, but luckily, that is not an issue that bothers her present spouse Phypers.

In fact, he was so cool with it he didn’t bat an eyebrow when Richards’ kissed Muldoon in his music video. Later on, she would meet Muldoon for lunch to discuss the video and joke that the song was based on her as she was “the girl that got away.”

Well you have to know that Sami doesn’t think that her father’s fears is entirely unwarranted. She believes Muldoon still has some feelings for her mom.

Whilst watching them shoot the music video, she said, “I don’t want to get him in trouble, but I feel like he might still have feelings for my mom.” She then joked that Muldoon asked the director to have him kiss Richards 500 times for the video.

Even on parenting their kids, Sheen and Richards still do not see eye to eye. One of their very public disagreements involved their daughter Sami, when she joined OnlyFans in 2022.

At the time, Sheen revealed he doesn’t “condole” such behavior, adding, “But since I’m unable to prevent it, I urged her to keep it classy, creative and not sacrifice her integrity. She is 18 years old now and living with her mother. This did not occur under my roof.”
