Anyway, if you’re looking for another messy Hollywood divorce, this is not the place to look for it. Witherspoon and Toth are chill to the max.
Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth Agree To These Divorce Terms
On March 30, “Legally Blonde” actress Witherspoon filed for divorce and four months later, they reached a divorce settlement.
When filing for the divorce in Nashville, the Oscar winning actress listed the same date as the filing as their date of separation, citing “irreconcilable differences.”
Earlier last week, a final divorce decree was submitted in the Circuit Court of Davidson County, Tennessee.

The court documents show that the couple used the most straightforward path to divide their assets, and it helped that there was a prenup in place. This saves either of them from paying alimony to the other.
“All household furniture, furnishings, appliances, art, and other items of personal property have been divided to the mutual satisfaction of the parties,” their filing reads.
“Each party is awarded his or her own clothing, jewelry and personal items free and clear of any and all claims of the other party.”
In addition to this, the former couple has decided to keep everything that they owe prior to their March 2011 wedding. Their cars will be going to whomever’s name is on the title, along with the costs associated with it.

While divorce can be tough on couples who are in business together, Witherspoon and Toth took every prior precaution to make sure it isn’t an area that could give rise to discontent.
How did they do that? They kept separate accounts throughout their marriage. To make things as partial and as flawless as possible, they’ll be paying their own attorney fees and will be dividing every cost associated with the court proceedings.
Wow, it’s hard to imagine these two are divorcing by how smoothly they worked all this out. Who took notes for future references?
