JK Rowling may have just taken a veiled swipe at Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint – the trio that led the live-action adaptation of her books of the same name.
Basically, she’s blaming them for spoiling ‘Harry Potter’ for her, and possibly for many other fans around the world. The good news is that Rowling gets to have a do-over with the upcoming HBO series adaptation of the beloved fantasy novels.
But what did JK Rowling actually say about the movie stars?
JK Rowling Seemingly Blames Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint For Ruining ‘Harry Potter’
Prior to JK Rowling’s controversial views on all things relating to trans people – there are no such things as trans people if you ask her – the ‘Harry Potter‘ family had been one tightly knitted family.
However, once the author made known her views about the trans ideology, the whole thing cracked open, and I’m not just talking about the infighting going on within ‘Harry Potter’s’ monster fandom, Potterhead.
Daniel Radcliffe rose from the shadows to become one of her fiercest opposers, while Emma Watson and Rupert Grint shared their own personal opinions, which sadly weren’t in lieu of Rowling’s.
Now? The dust may have settled, but some things will never be the same.
The bestselling author recently shared a post that read, “What actor/actress instantly ruins a movie for you?” and added, “Three guesses… sorry, that was irresistible.”
Though no names were called, fans were readily assured they knew the “three” guesses she was referring to.
“Three guesses? 1. The same people who made millions off your work, then turned on you when it was ‘cool,'” one fan wrote, with another agreeing, “Agree with you. As someone who grew up with the series, it has been very disappointing how ungrateful those 3 have been.”
I don’t know about ungrateful, but having a Harry Potter reunion in 2021 – “Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts” – without the creator of the world we fell in love with was going a bit too far.
On her part, Rowling is convinced she won’t be able to “forgive” Radcliffe, Watson, or other celebrities who support the transgender movement. Apart from her belief that the movement erodes women’s hard-won rights, she also doesn’t believe in trans ideology and wishes adults would stop peddling it to impressionable children.
