Dolly Parton has announced a new business venture in Panama City, similar to her Dixie Stampede attraction in Pigeon Forge, TN.

Her fans will no doubt be excited to visit the new attraction when it opens, due to the success of her many other projects.
Dolly Parton to open Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show
Parton’s new attraction will be located in Pier Park, next to Aaron Bessant Park in Panama City Beach. Meanwhile, Pirates Voyage Dinner & show will closely resemble her popular Dixie Stampede in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
The new attraction will be a 60,000 sq ft theater seating some 1,000 guests. Meanwhile, a series of pirate battles will be staged on the decks of two, full-size pirate ships in the 15-ft-deep lagoon.
Even better, the new venture is expected to create 300 jobs in the area, including cast members to be selected in a nationwide talent search. Moreover, the new attraction is set to open in the spring of 2025.
News Channel 7 WJHG quotes Panama City Beach Mayor Mark Sheldon as saying Parton’s decision to open a location in the city is a good indication that Panama City Beach is experiencing growth when it comes to tourism adding:
She’s a legend. She’s iconic. There’s no one who cares more about community than Dolly herself. So during this process, it’s been amazing to see another great community partner who wants to invest in Panama City Beach and make this a staple business model for them.
More than 1,000 people will be able to sit in the 60,000-square-foot theatre. The restaurant is expected to create 300 jobs, including those for cast members selected through a nationwide talent search. Moreover, it is scheduled to open in the spring of 2025.
Other projects for Dolly Parton
It turns out Dolly has other upcoming projects to add to the mix, including her interest in establishing a hotel in downtown Nashville. According to sources, the singer recently purchased a downtown office building for $76 million. She intends to turn the building into a hotel according to the Nashville Business Journal.
Parton told the news outlet that commercial real estate has become an opportunity since the pandemic.
Meanwhile, it has been nearly 40 years since Parton opened her sprawling entertainment complex, Dollywood, in Pigeon Forge. That complex now hosts two hotels, a theme park and a water park. Moreover, the country music superstar has already opened a new hotel in Tennessee. The second resort at Dollywood is HeartSong Lodge & Resort and it opened in November this year.
