Donald Trump & Movies – Some Of The Most Unexpected Cameos He’s Done Over The Years

Donald Trump is not only the 45th President of America, but he’s also throwing his hat into the ring once again to try and become the 47th President of the U.S.

A very polarizing political figure, in addition to being the leader of the free world, he also has real-estate mogul to his resume, as well as actor, appearing in many movies over the years.

But, why has he had so many cameos in the past? During a Hollywood Reporter interview, actor Matt Damon stated that Trump had a special requirement for filmmakers who wanted to use any of his properties in their films, and that was apparently to give him a small movie role in the flick.

Most of these movie appearances have caught fans completely off guard. Below is the top “unexpected” movie cameos Donald Trump has made.

Studio 54

Studio 54 was the biggest and hottest nightclub in New York City in the ‘70s, and in 1998, a movie was made about it.

Stars Ryan Phillipe, Salema Hyak, and Mike Meyers played unique roles and were featured in the flick, with a number of interesting cameos, including one from Donald Trump, who played “VIP Patron”. He doesn’t have any lines and appears at the end of the movie.

The Little Rascals

Of course, The Donald played the role of Waldo’s dad, the entitled, rich, little villain in The Little Rascals.

Trump’s appearance takes place during the big go-cart race at the end, as the racers are whizzing by, he takes center frame from in the crowd on the bleachers. Of course, his line, “You’re the best son money can buy”, was the perfect Trump-ish thing to say!

Zoolander

Donald isn’t the only one to have a cameo in Ben Stiller’s Zoolander movie, but also his wife and former First Lady, Melania Trump. The twosome is on the red carpet, and Trump is giving an interview before he says, “Look, without Derek Zoolander, male modeling wouldn’t be what it is today.”

Two Weeks Notice

Actor Hugh Grant starts in this movie about a fictional New York City real estate mogul, who is at odds with Donald Trump.

The former president’s name is mentioned multiple times during the movie, and he eventually shows up during a party and confronts Grant’s character, George Wade.

Eddie

While Whoopi Goldberg isn’t exactly a fan of Donald Trump, the interesting thing is that the two worked together on some movies in the past. The first one was Eddie: about a woman who wins a contest to coach the New York Knicks.

Donald’s cameo occurs during a flurry of interviews with other big-named New Yorkers at the time, including David Letterman, Ed Koch, and Mayor Rudy Giuliani.

The Associate

Movie number two with Whoopi Goldberg and Trump occurred during The Associate. Goldberg plays Laurel Ayres, a financial genius who leaves her old job because of a hard-to-work with manager who doesn’t value her feedback.

She decides to build her own firm; however, to do this in a male-dominated world, she claims it’s run by a fake mogul named Robert S. Cutty.

Of course, Ayres’s old boss, Frank, is waiting for a table at a restaurant with Donald Trump when he questions how long he’ll have to wait for a table.

Meanwhile, Goldberg’s character walks in with no issues at all and is seated right away, a sign of just how far she’s come since leaving her old firm. Trump pipes up and says, “Sorry Frank, but I’m going to go crash and burn with Cutty. Call me,” slapping him on the back and walking away.
