Not everyone gets to meet the superstar of their childhood who happens to also be their fan. Finally, for the first time in Adele‘s life she got to meet the superstar she’s been fanning all her life.

The “Hello” singer has been vocal about being a huge fan of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. She became a fan right from her younger days of watching wrestling. Surprisingly, she has never met The Rock.
Two years ago, in 2021, Adele made an appearance with YouTuber NikkieTutorials. There she shared that any day she meets The Roch, she would cry. Adele said, “Someone that I’ve never met that I think I would actually cry is The Rock.”
Adele once invited The Rock to her “One Night Only” concert special but sadly he couldn’t make it although he sent her flowers as compensation. Because of that gesture, Adele said, “I nearly fell off my chair.”

During the opening of the 2023 Grammys, Trevor Noah’s monologue had him saying that Adele is a top fan of the “Hobbs and Shaw” actor but it’s surprising to him that she has never met him.

Trevor said, “This is one of the strangest things I found out. The person that Adele has always wanted to meet, but never has, is Dwayne Johnson…I found out he’s a huge fan of yours, too.”
Afterwards, the most beautiful thing happened. The Rock got up from his seat in the audience and walked up to Adele’s table which was located in the front. Surprised Adele got up and shared one of the biggest hug with The Rock.
As fate would have it, later on that night, The Rock had the honor to present Adele with the award for Best Pop Solo Performance in her “Easy on Me” song.

Two days after meeting Adele at the Grammys, The Rock told Variety on Feb. 7 that after the confirmation that he’ll be present at the Grammys, he and executive producer Ben Winston cooked up several ideas to ensure Adele is quite surprised.
The “Black Adam” actor said, “We wanted to do something special for Adele. I know that she is a very big fan of mine and has made that clear publicly many times. But I’ve got to tell you, I am a huge fan of hers, as well—her music, her journey, her openness and directness in how she speaks. I’ve always admired that about her.”
The Rock continued, “We were trying to figure out something to do that was going to be fun and surprise her, and we had kicked around ideas all week.”
“The key to a surprise like that is to actually keep it a surprise. Myself and the Grammys went to great lengths to make sure that Adele was authentically surprised in the moment, and she was.”
Speaking of when he presented the award to Adele the wrestler said, “And talk about the universe meeting our friendship halfway: I get up onstage and I open that Grammy envelope and it said ‘Adele.’ So that’s why I was able to say, ‘Get up here best friend, Adele!’ It was such a special night.”
He concluded with “And she’s such a special iconic brilliant inspiring artist who has inspired a generation and who will continue to inspire generations to come. I love that woman.”
