Ellen DeGeneres ‘Boyfriend’ Tayt Andersen Has Cancer

Ellen DeGeneres hosted young Tayt Andersen multiple times on The Ellen Show before she was canceled for being a nasty person.

Well, her sweet coverage of Tayt, who needed a heart transplant, ended up being a good news story. However, he was recently diagnosed with cancer, and a GoFundMe was started for him. Read on to find out more. 

Ellen DeGeneres Landed A Netflix Show

There were many instances where the famous talk show host and comedian showed her kinder side. However, she still lost her show. But, she went on and landed a Netflix show. There have been rumors that she won’t continue with her standup comedy after the show ends. 

In fact, some people speculate that she might retire and move to Rwanda where she started up her Ellen DeGeneres Dian Fossey Campus to help conserve gorillas. Oh, wait! That must have been one of her nastier moments! Anyway, many people still love her, and this week she shouted out Tayt Andersen who appeared year after year as he underwent medical procedures to save his life.

Tayt Andersen Was Called Ellen’s ‘Boyfriend’

The cute kid who was born with half a heart fell in love with The Ellen Show host, and she called him her only “boyfriend.” The sweet kid went through so much, but eventually, he got a heart transplant. This week, a lot of old scenes were stitched together and posted on Instagram. And, many fans were touched by the reminder. It came on the occasion of Tayt’s 19th birthday. 

Unfortunately, there was no knowing that after the good news story on the Ellen DeGeneres show, nine years later, Tayt would fight for his life again. If you don’t know, he’s been diagnosed with cancer. Run by “AricandChrissy Becker” on GoFundMe, the cancer sounds aggressive. The admin wrote on August 1:

This is Tayt Andersen. He’s gone through more than most can even fathom. Born with half a heart, a dozen heart surgeries before he was nine years old, heart transplant at the age of 10, PTLD from being immunocompromised, and last week we found out he has bladder cancer and less than a 30% chance to live another 5 years.

The boy who charmed so many of Ellen DeGeneres fans just started his chemo, according to a September 18 update. Tayt Andersen will have a biopsy next to see if the chemo is helping the cancer that has a bad rep for coming back. 

So far, the GoFundMe to help finance the treatment has reached $745 out of a target of $25K with 14 donors.
