Ellen DeGeneres Is On African Safari With Top Wildlife Guide

Ellen Degeneres, formerly extremely popular as a comedian left the USA in 2024 for the UK, allegedly to avoid Donald Trump’s presidency. Currently, though, she’s enjoying an African safari with a top wildlife guide, the founder of Safarious, Passage to Africa, and Safari By Design. Michael Lorentz is recognized for his work with nature.

On An African Safari

Ellen shared a video on her Instagram account on March 15 and revealed a splendid encounter with lions. It’s just got to be an upgrade on the weather in the UK at the moment. In the comments of her post, some of The Ellen Show and Netflix fans argued over which country she visited. Was it Tanzania, Kenya, South Africa, or even Zimbabwe? 

Well, Michael Lorentz recently tagged Tanzania in a post, so maybe they are there. It’s not easy to distinguish African scenery during the wet season. Anyway, Ellen’s probably keen to keep her destination private as she didn’t reply to verify her exact whereabouts. 

Loving Nature

Presumably, Ellen is there with her loving wife, Portia de Rossi who celebrated a birthday about six weeks ago. In her caption, the TV star wrote, “My favorite place to be- in nature on safari,” before “sending peace and love,” and tagging Michael and Safarious. She also posted a clip of a nice elephant tusker strolling by.

The gay couple love wildlife and set up The Ellen Campus in Rwanda in 2022, honoring the legacy of Dian Fossey’s work with gorillas. So, if they can afford a wonderful safari in Africa, most people feel they probably deserve it. In fact, rumors arose after she fell from grace, that Ellen DeGeneres might relocate to Rwanda.

Some followers seemed lucky to be well-off enough to afford Safaris to Africa, and one of them wrote, “Is your guide Michael Lorentz?? I can recognize the voice…He is our guide as well in African trips … the BEST of the best!!”

Someone else told Ellen Degeneres, “You should visit the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust they do incredible work with rescuing and raising and rewilding orphaned elephants.” Well, Prince Harry spent well over a decade helping African wildlife conservation, and as Ellen’s thought to be a friend of Meghan Markle, she might have already done that.
