Ellen DeGeneres Reflects On DJ Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss’ Suicide

The suicide of Stephen tWitch Boss shocked his family, friends, and fans. And like his colleague and friend Ellen DeGeneres, many still struggle to understand. But now Ellen has offered her thoughts on the tragic death of the DJ, dancer, and entertainer’s passing.

Find out what the Ellen Show host shared about Stephen. And learn what moved her to tears. Get all the details below.

Ellen DeGeneres – Honors Stephen tWitch Boss After Suicide

Fans who still feel in pain after learning how Stephen tWitch Boss died may find help from the words of Ellen DeGeneres. And though the talk show host herself still can’t fully comprehend the fact of his suicide, she wanted fans to learn her suggestion. As a result, Ellen posted a video on Instagram, noted Page Six.

“Hey everybody, I just wanted to say that the past 11 days have been really tough for everyone,” began Ellen, looking tearful. And the 64-year-old talk show host admitted, “Everyone is in pain and trying to make sense of it.” But DeGeneres shared that she believes “we will never make sense of it.”

However, the talk show host suggested focusing on honoring tWitch. “And the holidays are hard, I think, anyway,” pointed out Ellen. “But I think the best thing we can do to honor tWitch is to laugh, and hug each other and to play games and dance and sing. That’s the way we honor him … we do the things he loved to do.”

Ellen DeGeneres – Asks Fans To Check In With Each Other

But DeGeneres also admitted that looking happy feels “impossible” right now. However, she asked her fans to check in with each other. And she urged them to tell “each other we love them. I know it’s not a happy holiday,” added Ellen. But “he was pure light,” noted DeGeneres about tWitch.

Ellen’s comments come in the wake of the discovery that Boss had died earlier this month at age 40. And officials ruled his cause of death as suicide by a gunshot to the head. However, motel employees who saw tWitch the day before shared that he did not seem upset. But officials revealed that Boss’ suicide note referenced previous challenges that he still struggled to overcome.

Boss’ wife Allison Holker now parents their children alone. They include Weslie, 14; Maddox, 6, and Zaia, 3. But the DJ had friends who felt like family. And Ellen mourned the loss, sharing on social media, “tWitch was pure love and light. He was my family, and I loved him with all my heart. I will miss him.”
