Per Deadline on Friday, her return to Pixar’s Finding Nemo universe isn’t coming with tons of details, as it’s all “under wraps” for now. It’s been years since folks last saw Ellen DeGeneres on their screens
The last time fans saw Ellen on TV came in 2024 when she clapped back at accusations of bullying in the workplace.
That happened during her show, Ellen DeGeneres: For Your Approval. In fact, in the Netflix show, she straight up insinuated that her critics could “Go f-k yourselves.”

A Great Comedian
Whether you like Ellen or not, there’s no denying that she made tons of folks laugh. Plus, she did a lot of good things on her Ellen Show, especially with kids. However, some rather bizarre theories arose. Notably, she didn’t ever get questioned or arrested for them. Still, when she moved to the UK, many people wanted her to stay there.
Certainly it doesn’t seem that many people wanted her back on their screens in any form at all. When her Cotswold home reportedly flooded, which she denied, some folks thought it couldn’t have happened to a more deserving person. The hate runs deep, but perhaps it won’t affect viewers who love the Dory stories.

These days, folks even seem to forget her good work with her partnership with the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund and The Ellen Fund in Rwanda.
The thing is, when celebrities fall, they fall hard. So, when they fall, public opinion turns vicious. Probably that’s because they’r expected to be role models.
Rumored Return
For a while, rumors swirled that Ellen DeGeneres and her wife, Portia de Rossi, planned a return to the USA. Well, that happened, and if you don’t know, they purchased a new place in Montecito. According to Radar Online, the duo were spotted out and about in Santa Barbara in January.
Reportedly, Ellen DeGeneres fled the country to avoid the Trump Administration. Well, he’s still in charge of the USA, so it’s not clear why they chose to return. Perhaps offers like Dory and Finding Nemo helped her decide to risk a return.
