Elon Musk – Discusses Johnny Depp And Amber Heard Trial
Whose side to take? That’s a question that many celebrities debated during the trial of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard. And now Elon Musk has made his decision. His statement comes after he got named as a possible witness in the trial. However, Musk did not testify, noted E News!
Although the Tesla CEO dated Amber in the wake of her split from Johnny, Elon showed caution in siding with his ex-girlfriend. And instead, Musk actually offered appreciation for both Depp and Heard. His statement came only after attorneys offered closing arguments in the defamation trial. After starting deliberations on May 27, the jury will return to court on May 31.
“I hope they both move on,” wrote Musk on Twitter. And after seeing the end of the hearing, he added praise for both. “At their best, they are each incredible,” gushed Elon.
Elon Musk – Responds To Amber Heard And Johnny Depp Trial Takeaways
In voicing his views on Amber and Johnny, Musk responded to takeaways from the trial. For instance, the Tesla CEO’s comments followed those of MIT research scientist and podcaster Lex Fridman. However, Fridman ranged between throwing shade to showing humor.
For example, the MIT scientist’s first takeaway pointed to the impact of fame. “My takeaways from Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard trial: 1. Fame is one hell of a drug (for some),” shared Fridman. And second, the scientist noted how the testimony from psychiatrists and analysis from attorneys varied dramatically. “ 2. Psychiatrists & lawyers come in drastically varying levels of skill,” added Fridman.
For his third takeaway, the scientist accused both Depp and Heard of telling some lies. “3. Lying to millions of people is something humans are capable of,” claimed Fridman. And for his fourth, he focused on the likelihood that at some point, Amber and Johnny truly loved each other. “4. Love can be messy,” shared the scientist. But his fifth takeaway offered more of a prescription than a summation: “5. Mega pint of wine,” concluded Fridman.
After Elon responded to Fridman, the MIT scientist followed up on Twitter.
“I do hope we start thinking of people by who they are at their best, not their worst,” noted Fridman. However, Musk also may have a unique view of Amber after having dated her, then broken up.
Elon got involved in the trial after Depp claimed Amber had an affair with the Tesla CEO while still married to Johnny. “Unbeknownst to Mr. Depp, no later than one month after his marriage to Ms. Heard, she was spending time in a new relationship with Tesla and Space X founder, Elon Musk,” stated the trial filing. But Musk’s representative denied
the timing. “Elon and Amber didn’t start seeing each other until May 2016, and even then it was infrequent. Their relationship didn’t become romantic until some time later,” clarified the spokesperson.
The first actual rumors of a romance between Heard and Musk began in July 2016. The two then went public, going Instagram official in April 2017. However, that August, they split.
