There’s only one Slim Shady, and he’s Eminem. Last week, on Feb. 14, to be precise, “The Real Slim Shady” rapper filed an opposition against two Real Housewives of Potomac stars— Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon.
Weeks before Eminem’s opposition, Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon filed to use the trademark “Reasonably Shady” as the title of their podcast which they plan to use for selling products e.g, water bottles, lip gloss, sweatshirts, hats, jackets, and socks.
Well, Eminem is saying a capital NO to their request.
Eminem — Why Eminem Is Against The Use Of “Shady” By Gizelle Bryant And Robyn Dixon
According to the court documents obtained, the “Not Afraid” rapper whose real name is Marshall Mathers stated that the use of “Shady” by any party besides him will create “confusion” in the minds of people who have known him for years with that title.
Eminem, 50, has been going by the moniker “Shady” and “Slim Shady” for over 26 years now. The rapper started using the moniker since 1996, and also owns a trademark of those monikers which he uses in his records and merch.
The musician further explained in the documents, “The marks Slim Shady and Shady have become and are an extremely valuable symbol of Mathers, his reputation and goodwill.”

Eminem is also doing well on his own as he was inducted into the “Rock & Roll Hall of Fame” last year November. During his acceptance speech he said, “So I’m probably not supposed to actually be here tonight because of a couple of reasons.”
“One of them that I’m a rapper, and this is the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. And there’s only a few of us right now that have been inducted in already, but there’s only a few of us.”
