Emma Stone talks recent injury.  During a recent interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the 32-year-old actress decided to put to rest once and for all the rumors that blamed her wild partying with the Spice Girls as the result of Disney’s Cruella shoot delay.

In the interview, Emma Stone did admit that she broke her shoulder right before the shoot was set to begin, but she confirmed that the Spice Girls and their amazingly cool party were not to blame. It still didn’t rule out entirely that the Spice Girls, one way or another, were involved.

In the preview footage of her time on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday, June 2, the actress decided to disprove the theory that states she broke her shoulder partying with the Spice Girls in the summer of 2019. The injury reportedly delayed the Cruella shoot.

In reality, the new mom really did break her shoulder right before she was about to start filming the movie, but it wasn’t the Spice Girls’ glorious performance that did the crime.

“I broke my shoulder in June of 2019, and we were supposed to start filming Cruella like August, or maybe even July, of 2019,” the mom-of-one recalled. “And I broke my shoulder in two places. But for some reason, the story became that I broke my shoulder at the Spice Girls concert—that I was on somebody’s shoulders and fell and broke my own shoulder. And it’s not true!”

Ellen DeGeneres Became Confused And Asked The Crazy, Stupid, Love Actress How The Rumor Came To Be.

“I wasn’t on anybody’s shoulders! I’d already broken my shoulder,” Emma added. “I couldn’t get on anyone else’s.” She then went on to explain that she did actually see the Spice Girls, but she’d already broken her shoulder a day before as opposed to the popular rumor. She revealed that she went to the hospital before the concert, but the X-ray results weren’t conclusive at the time, so it wasn’t until after enjoying the show that she was able to learn the extent of her injury.

“I was supposed to go to the Spice Girls concert in London, and I did go, but the night before, someone had a little house party nearby,” she shared. “And this was 2019, pre-COVID, so people could all be together and mingle.”

“And it was a waxed floor in this house, and I slipped, and my arm went back behind me, and I broke my shoulder. And then I went to the Spice Girls concert the next day, wore one of those little cuffs,” the star continued.

DeGeneres then shared a picture that the actress had taken at the concert with the group, with Emma happily smiling at the memory.
