Eric Wallace Says Green Arrow’s Appearance In “The Flash’s” Finale Season Will Be “A Full-Circle Moment”

Stephen Amell is ready, set, and up for getting back into Oliver Green’s shoes for one last great farewell to the superhero.

Oliver Green, or his superhero alterego “Green Arrow”, was one of the few people who Garry Gustin’s Flash regularly went to for hero advice, so it makes sense that he should appear in the lead-up to the final episode.

“The Flash’s” Executive Producer Shares Why Stephen Amell Should Make A Return To “The Flash” In Its Final Season

According to Eric Wallace, “The Flash’s” Executive Producer, Stephen Amell, 41, will be making an appearance in the upcoming season of “The Flash” as the Green Arrow. This ninth season of the beloved CW series will reportedly try to tie up all the loose ends and will feature some epic fights.

Eric Wallace Says Green Arrow's Appearance In “The Flash's” Finale Season Will Be “A Full-Circle Moment”

Yes, it’ll be tricky for Amell to return onscreen as one of his most memorable characters, especially as we watched Oliver Green die in “Arrow”, but apparently, according to Wallace, it’s doable.

“As soon as our final season was announced, we knew we wanted Stephen to come back and reprise his iconic role as Oliver Queen,” Eric Wallace said in a statement to TheWrap on Wednesday, Jan. 4. “After all, it was Oliver who originally launched Barry Allen [Grant Gustin] on his heroic path. That’s why everyone on Team Flash felt so strongly that it was important to create a full-circle moment with Oliver’s return in the final season of The Flash.”

Since 2012, Stephen Amell has played the arrow-wielding vigilante in “Arrow” until he met his demise on the same show. Before then, he’d made several cameos in DC’s other superhero series, including “The Flash” and the short-lived “DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow”.

When “The Flash” ends, the Arrowverse will truly come to an end, as “Arrow” bowed out in 2020 and “Supergirl” ran its final episode in 2021, six years after its 2015 debut.
