Jessica Alba is currently promoting her new Nextflix movie Trigger Warning (which she served as an executive producer), and sat down with People Magazine to discuss her career.
Jessica Alba – Talks Struggles
The actress explained to People, “You’re not always taking the roles that are the best. You’re just taking roles to survive, which teaches grit and perseverance, but I do wish I would’ve had the skill set and the wherewithal to write and to know about writing and directing and producing earlier in my career.”
The “L.A.’s Finest” actress added, “And there’s a desperation like, ‘Please God, I need this job. … If they do want to be a performer, then being able to be a producer and a writer, or a director. I think having that leadership role is really important to the art and be part of the art in a way where they feel like they can have more autonomy and there’s more dignity.”

Alba’s career kicked off with Camp nowhere back in 1994, when she was just a kid. in her late teens and early twenties, Alba was acting to pay her bills and taking any roles, music video gigs, or cameos she could book.
After several small roles and straight to DVD movies, Jessica’s hard work paid off and she began getting recognized more and more by agents and producers.
Jessica Alba’s career reached new heights after appearing in some major franchises like Sin City and Fantastic Four. Now the 43 year old actress is making a name for herself BEHIND the cameras, rather than in front of them.
