Across their credits, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have collaborated on four songs, most recent being 2020’s “Happy Anywhere.” But you didn’t think that’ll be their last did you?

Well, since the couple tied the knot in 2021, we haven’t heard them join their talents on a new song, but this is all about to change, with Shelton and Stefani teasing the happy news on their socials. The short video showed the duo in the recording studio working on a currently unnamed track.

The lyrics, which the No Doubt frontwoman shared as a caption on TikTok“… now we’re picking purple irises,” seems to point at her recent Instagram posts, which featured pictures of her and her husband cuddling in a polaroid placed next to… you guessed it… purple irises.

In the TikTok video, the couple are heard singing, “But if someone comes along and tries to love you like I love you / Don’t know what I’d do / Don’t want to lose you / If someone comes along and tries to take ya tries to make you / Don’t let ’em change your mind / Wonder why you took a risk / On a broken heart you cannot fix / No I never knew a love like this / Now we’re picking purple irises.”

After getting an outpouring of love and approval from fans on the upcoming song, Stefani shared in the replies, “We love u guys so excited to share w u gx.”

Even though fans are yet to know the name, or even the release date of this single, Shelton, 47, recently shared that his new album “Love Language” is currently streaming.

The lineup of songs did not include this particular one, but it does include previously released duets from the high profile couple, “Happy Anywhere” and “Nobody but You.”
