Gal Gadot shared That Joss Whedon “Threatened Her Career”

In a recent interview with Israeli news channel N12, the Wonder Woman actress spoke of working with the director, who stepped in to film and re-shoot Justice League after the exit of Zack Snyder due to a family tragedy.

She said, “What I had with Joss, basically, is that he kind of threatened my career and told me that if I did something, he would ensure that my career would be miserable. And I simply handled it on the spot.”

Gal Gadot’s Experience With Joss Whedon Has Been One Of Many Stories To Come Out About The Director In Recent Times

The 36-year-old star’s accusations come after a year of several actors from his projects coming forward with their own stories about working with him, including Justice League’s Ray Fisher and Buffy actress Charisma Carpenter.

Carpenter who worked with Whedon on Buffy and Angel said the director “abused his power on numerous occasions.”

She said, “While he found his misconduct amusing, it only served to intensify my performance anxiety, disempower me and alienate me from my peers. The disturbing incidents triggered a chronic physical condition from which I still suffer.”

In response to Charisma’s message Amber Benson, who played Tara Maclay on Buffy, tweeted, “Buffy was a toxic environment and it starts at the top.”

Seven months prior to Charisma’s comments Ray Fisher, who played Cyborg in 2017’s Justice League, tweeted about Joss’s on-set treatment of the Justice League cast and crew of Justice League calling it “gross, abusive, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable.”

Not Only Professional Acquaintances, But Joss Whedon’s Ex-Wife Also Accused Him Of Being Hypocritical

Further, his ex-wife Kai Cole has also spoken about the wide gap between his public persona and real-life personality, accusing him of being a “hypocrite preaching feminist ideals.”

She said, “ “I want the people who worship him to know he is human, and the organizations giving him awards for his feminist work, to think twice in the future about honoring a man who does not practice what he preaches.”

An investigation is said to have been carried out but not many details were revealed about what came of it

Following Ray’s accusations, it was reported that WarnerMedia completed an investigation into the DC Comics franchise following Ray’s accusations.

Last December, the company shared a statement “WarnerMedia’s investigation into the Justice League movie has concluded, and remedial action has been taken.”
