While there were earlier reports indicating that George Clooney and his wife Amal along with their two children are packing up their bags and moving from Los Angeles to France, it looks like the Hollywood star is staying put.

That’s because per Radar Online, George wants to stay in Los Angeles, with or without his family, as Amal has made it clear that she’s going to raise their kids in France no matter what happens.

This has prompted a lot of people to wonder if George and Amal are prepared to live separate lives on two different continents.

However, it wasn’t too long ago that George explained why he wanted to go to France as well.

He said, “We got a place about four years ago in France, and we spent a good amount of time there, enjoying it.”

What’s Next For The Clooneys?

“There’s an anonymity living there. That’s good for the kids. But L.A.’s still a big part of home for me too because it’s where I found success. It’s where I made all my friends. I know every back street. I know all the shortcuts.”

That said, George also added that he’s not going to sell the Los Angeles home that he currently lives in, as he’s had it for nearly 30 years.

In other words, Amal is going to have a tough time convincing her husband to move to France full-time when George knows that his heart will always belong in California.

So far George Clooney himself has not made any comments about the matter, although at this point it’s doubtful that anything will be said.

Because if there’s anything that we’ve learned about the actor over the years, it’s that he knows just how damaging negative headlines can be, and that’s why he’s going to stay out of the gossip, even if his name is in it.
