When discussing Kelce’s acting abilities, Chavez noted that the NFL star handled the material “like a pro.” Despite Kelce’s lack of prior acting experience, he seemed to fit in seamlessly. “He’s awesome,” Chavez stated, hinting that Kelce’s performance is one to watch.
Praises From Other Co-stars
Kelce also received high praise from his fellow co-stars, particularly Nash-Betts. A source exclusively revealed to PEOPLE that Nash-Betts “adored” Kelce during their time filming.
The insider shared, “[Travis] was super happy on set, and he and Niecy vibed really well. Nothing felt forced.” Nash-Betts, known for her quick judgment of people, reportedly gave Kelce an immediate “green light,” further solidifying his place on set.

Kelce’s enthusiasm for acting was evident in a May episode of his podcast, ‘New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce’. He admitted that landing the role was a surprise, describing the experience as both fun and overwhelming. “I feel like an amateur,” Kelce confessed on the podcast. “And I haven’t gotten fired yet, so we’re doing good.”
He also praised the series’ creator, Ryan Murphy, saying, “Ryan Murphy is an unbelievable writer, director, producer—he can do it all.” Despite feeling like a novice, Kelce shared how Murphy’s confidence in him helped ease his nerves.
