Gisele Bündchen Can Certainly Live Without Tom Brady

After 13 years of marriage, Tom Brady, and Gisele Bündchen finalized their divorce on Friday, Oct. 28. The former couple did admit that they did their best to save their marriage but to no avail. Although the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom, 45, and the supermodel Gisele, 42, are now divorced, the duo said they will do their best to co-parent their children.

Since the divorce, Gisele has been on everyone’s mind, especially people who want to know how she’s coping without Tom in her life. An insider close to the model revealed to PEOPLE that the divorce won’t affect Gisele in the manner which people thought it would. Gisele can live perfectly fine without Tom as she has been doing so for a long time since Tom is hardly home.

Gisele Bündchen — The Reason For The Divorce

In the divorce papers obtained, the reason for their divorce was cited “irretrievably broken” but, an insider once revealed that the quarrel had to do with Gisele not being in support of Tom’s unretirement from football.

Tom announced that he would be retiring from football on February 1 this year, 40 days later which is nearly two months after the announcement, Tom took to his Twitter to explain to he would be lacing up his boots again because he finds it difficult to stay away from playing. Tom’s decision to return to the field is not what his wife wants hence the divorce.

Last month, while speaking with Elle Magazine, Gisele revealed that she’s not entirely in support of her husband’s return to the NFL because “This is a very violent sport, and I have my children and I would like him to be more present.”

Gisele’s point of view can be understood because she’s speaking from the place of a wife and, Tom is not just her husband but also a father to their two children Benjamin, 12, and Vivian, 10.

Continuing, Gisele said “I have definitely had those conversations with him over and over again. But ultimately, I feel that everybody has to make a decision that works for [them]. He needs to follow his joy, too.”

According to Gisele, she too has dreams which she put on hold to support her husband’s football dream, and to cater for her family.

Gisele Bündchen — How Tom Is Handling His Divorce

Tom made an appearance on Sirius XM show Let’s Go!, on Monday following his divorce, and said that his main priorities are focusing on his children and winning matches in his football career.

“Obviously, the good news is it’s a very amicable situation and I’m really focused on two things, taking care of my family and certainly my children, and secondly, doing the best job I can to win football games” said the footballer.

“So, that’s what professionals do. You focus at work when it’s time to work, and then when you come home you focus on the priorities that are at home. All you can do is the best you could do. That’s what I’ll just continue to do as long as I’m working and as long as I’m being a dad.”
